Node.js is an innovative, open-source, event-driven, asynchronous input/output platform designed for sites that offer live communication. Some examples of such sites would be online browser video game portals, live chat rooms or accommodation booking portals. The platform handles the information sent between the website and its visitors in small bits, which improves the load speed and the performance of the site considerably. When a certain form with three boxes has to be filled out by a particular user, for instance, ordinarily all three boxes should be filled and the whole content is then delivered as one giant chunk of information to the web server. With Node.js, the content of the first box is processed the second it is inserted, before the user writes anything in the second box. All it takes to start a new Node.js instance is to include the folder path to the .js file that will use the Node.js platform and to choose the IP that will be used to access it – a dedicated IP or your Virtual Private Server’s shared IP address. Node.js in Dedicated Servers

Node.js is available with all Linux dedicated servers on which our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is installed. The latter offers a pretty intuitive and easy-to-use interface, so even if you have never used Node.js before, you’ll be able to take advantage of its full potential in only a few easy steps. As soon as you have uploaded the app’s content, you’ll need to add the directory path to the specific .js files that will use Node.js and to pick the IP which they’ll use (shared or dedicated), while our system will designate a randomly generated port that will be used to access these files. There isn’t any constraint on the total number of instances that you can activate and use simultaneously and you’ll exert complete control over them via the Hepsia Control Panel – you’ll be able to order new ones or to discontinue/reboot existing ones, to see the output log for each app, and so on.
